This is a very well known case in the UK arb, community. God seemingly
had nothing to do with it but the local authority was not regarded as
having been blameless. Indeed they were fined£150,000 fine plus £56,000
costs. The case led to quite a lot of rethinking (or perhaps that should
be thinking) about what local authorities should be doing regarding tree
maintenance.
