Sorry Wayne, no time I'm afraid - perhaps not so much a scientific analysis
as more of an opinion derived from the use of the Mk1 Eyeball i.e. I have
seen lots of pictures of large trees in front of US homes but can't recall a
similar site in the UK where the resident has to walk around the tree to
enter the front door, the closest we have to that would be, in my opinion,
something like this:

Kind regards,

Dave

As a response to Government advice regarding Covid-19 control measures, I
would advise that until further notice officers are working remotely. We will
aim to provide you with the same level of service during this time; however
there may be some disruption. To help us during this time we would be
grateful if you only contact us by email: planning@xxxxxxxx.gov.uk

I agree with your analysis. Would you care to outline the basics of your
analysis?

Wayne, what I have noticed (I think) is that you guys on the other
side of the pond don't seem to have such a hang up about trees in
close proximity to dwellings. In this country, I think it would be
quite rare for a tree of that size to survive so close to a house -
we, esp insurers/subsidence companies, seem to be obsessed with this
and I get many applications to remove trees simply based on proximity.
Shame to see the old girl go, but it must have been fun whilst it lasted.
