Over the last few years I have received a number of requests from
complainants as to why we don't annually inspect high hedges where a remedial
notice has been issued. Clearly where it is known that the hedge owner
repeatedly ignores the requirement of the Notice, an annual inspection might
be prudent for enforcement, but as far as I can ascertain, and having
briefly looking through HH 'Prevention and Cure' there appears to be no
requirement for LA's to do this. Comment welcome from any LA Arb Officers out
there.
